Yes, a quilt.

One of my bff's (I've known her since we were little. We think we were around 1st or 2nd grade when we became bests) has a baby who just turned two. When I asked what she needed the Momma said nothing. She just had Christmas and was spoiled by everyone. So I made her a quilt. Now...I'm not a very good quilter, but I LOVE it. I aspire to be making the beautiful things I see on blogs and in books. Someday I'll be there. For now, I'll keep practicing. And for all of those who receive one of my "beginner" quilts...thanks for being kind and I promise to make you a new one someday when I have mad skills. :)

One more thing, I forgot to take a photo of the final product all laid out or hanging. Seriously.

The color combo. Bright for the bright lil 2 year old girl.

Piecing it together.

The strips around the border.

Squares sewn together.

The back. Not what you'd expect seeing that it doesn't really match at all. I fell in love with these very colorful, large printed flowers. What can I say?

The best photo I have of the finished quilt. Right before I wrapped it up. At least you get a little idea of what it looked like.

For those of you who quilt, this was my first attempt at machine quilting. It was not a dreadful experience, but I could sure use a lot of practice. Perhaps a class is in order.
